No renewable energies without storage

The expansion of renewable energy sources is a central prerequisite for the energy transition. But the current electricity infrastructure is not designed for high volatilities — instability in the power grid, high prices and increased congestion are the result. To avoid this, renewable generation plants must be switched off again and again. In 2022, it was just under 4.5% - an absolute amount of 8.07 TWh of electricity was lost as a result. This alone would have been able to supply over 2.88 million households for a year. Stabilizing the power grid is essential. With our battery energy storage systems, we can balance out volatilities and at the same time absorb more renewable energy in the power grid.
