The battery storage project in Dahlem, in the district of Euskirchen, has an output of 100 MW and a gross storage capacity of 200 MWh. The battery storage system will be used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and from avoided grid charges (Section 18 StromNEV) and is connected to the grid of Westnetz GmbH. The plant is scheduled for completion in 2026.
