The battery storage project in Tangermünde, in the district of Stendal, has a capacity of 58 MW and a gross storage capacity of 116 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and from avoided grid charges (Section 18 StromNEV) and is connected to the grid of Avacon Netz GmbH. The plant is scheduled for completion in 2026.
